We wish you would never have the need to use our emergency dental services, but if you do, we are here to help. There are certain situations that require the immediate attention of a specialist. In an emergency, these are important steps to take while you get to our offices:
If an accident or trauma causes you to lose an adult tooth, try to set it back in its base without touching the root. If this is not possible, place the tooth between your cheek and your gum, or immerse it in milk or any preservation substance that has the American Dental Association (ADA) Seal of Acceptance. Come to our offices immediately.
If you crack a tooth, rinse your mouth immediately with warm water to clean the area. Place a cold compress on your face to control the swelling.
If you bite your tongue or lip, gently clean the area with water and apply a cold compress.
For a toothache, rinse your mouth with warm water. Use dental floss to gently eliminate any food residue that may have been trapped between the teeth. Do not place an aspirin or any other product on the affected area or on the gum surface.
If any object or material gets trapped between your teeth, try to remove it gently with dental floss, but do not attempt to take it out with sharp tools.
In such emergencies, do not panic. Just get in touch with us and we will have you back to normal and flashing a beautiful smile in no time!
